German company Grothe Technology creates digital travel solutions and consults for some of the foremost companies in the tourism industry.
Grothe Technology required a system that could integrate with their B2B online travel booking service provider customers. The interface needed to be able to search for and book travel packages including flights, cars, hotels and travel insurance, all the while sorting for the optimal price range and conditions within set parameters.
Exadel designed and developed a system called BCS Booking WebService that provides functionality for external components that perform searches and booking procedures. The system integrates with existing websites to perform functions necessary for them to operate. The system uses a leading-edge technology stack that includes C#, NET 4.5, WCF, WWF, Windows Services, Entity Framework, Spring.Net, AutoMapper, log4net, and SQL Server.
The tool allows users to search by particular specifications and then select the travel package that works best for them. At the end of the process, users are able to book the package and make any called for changes. The service now handles a high volume of bookings a day for key clients like Airberlin Holidays and Lufthansa Holidays.
