GlobalTranz is a rapidly growing transportation company specializing in Less-than-Truckload and Full Truckload freight, Supply Chain Logistics, and Warehousing. GlobalTranz works to optimize the flow and storage of merchandise as the goods move through the supply chain ensuring efficiency.
GlobalTranz needed a technology partner to develop a custom software program that would help it stay at the leading edge of its industry. GlobalTranz hired Exadel because of our expertise in code audits, software development, mobile app development, and support.
.NET – This adaptable software framework was the best tool for developing the highly interactive, web-based application, Command Center. Command Center is a dashboard designed for multiple roles. It was built around a widget architecture that allowed for the adding and subtracting of multiple widgets so that it can adapt to the ever changing trucking landscape.
SQL Server – SQL Server is a relational database management system that is used to store and retrieve data requested by other software systems. This is the data storage component the Exadel Software Development Team used to create the database that stores all the metrics required for the efficient monitoring system.
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Integration – EDI is an electronic communication method that provides certain standards for data exchange. The Exadel Software Development Team integrated EDI with Command Center so that different companies can exchange documents such as purchase orders, invoices, and shipping notices.
Exadel co-developed the Command Center tool, a web based, multi-mode freight management platform. This is an end-to-end solution, created to reduce transaction times through more efficient information sharing. Command Center also improves market intelligence through improved analysis tools. In addition, Exadel developed MobileNet, a mobile app that provides real time key performance indicators. This private, web-based app works on Android, iPhone, and iPad, and provides data easily across the supply chain to agents, carriers, and customers.
GlobalTranz also needed a tool to help outside sales reps support clients and increase market share. Exadel developed MobileTranz to support complex web services and high transaction volume without sacrificing performance for sales reps in the field. The user interface was designed to be consistent across a number of smartphones, tablets, and operating systems to ensure that it would easily integrate as a tool for sales reps.
Exadel continues to work with GlobalTranz through Agent Support. This system connects Sales Agents and Exadel Support Engineers for assistance overcoming barriers and ensuring that the Sales Agents receive the necessary technical development support. In addition to Agent Support, Exadel continues to develop software such as an integration system for document exchange with GlobalTranz partners, and a new system that will allow GlobalTranz to branch out into new markets.
