RED HAT DEVELOPER STUDIO TO BE RELEASED IN SUMMER 2007

RED HAT, EXADEL PARTNER AROUND OPEN SOURCE TOOLS FOR JBOSS
Exadel, a provider of rich application components and tooling, has recently announced plans to open source its commercial products, Exadel Studio Pro and its RichFaces components library, to JBoss.org under LGPL. As part of the partnership with Red Hat, Exadel will also migrate its Ajax4jsf project from java.net to JBoss.org. Red Hat's Gavin King will lead efforts to integrate the three projects into the JBoss Enterprise Middleware Suite (JEMS).
The ServerSide.com interviewed Sacha Labourey, CTO of Red Hat's JBoss Division, to learn more about the partnership with Exadel, and its effects and benefits for the enterprise and the open-source communities.

MAX KATZ TO PARTICIPATE IN THE JSF/AJAX PANEL DISCUSSION AT THE 2007 JAVAONE CONFERENCE
The programming model for AJAX has recently shown signs of migrating from the client side of the connection to the server side. In the Java EE world, the form many AJAX runtime frameworks have chosen to take is JavaServer Faces technology-based. Responsibilities:
- Establishing process and defining scope, cost and time parameters for each of the projects
- Creating and managing project plans, estimates, scope of work documents, requirements, risk assessments, specifications, schedules, change control procedures, and budgets
- Ensuring that all project documentation is complete and that all project deliverables are on schedule and within specification
- Performing cross-functional task management and facilitating effective workflow between client and technology teams
- Interfacing with the client and development teams to resolve project-related issues; escalating larger project issues as needed
- Reporting project status on a regular basis to management, account team, project team and client
