Exadel has been named to the SD Times 100 for 2006 in the Rich Client category. This ranking distinguishes Exadel as one of the leading and most influential companies in the software development industry.

This achievement is part of a banner year for Exadel. In January 2006, Exadel launched the latest version of its popular Eclipse-based IDE, Exadel Studio Pro. The new offering featured support for AJAX, Struts, JSF RI, MyFaces, Spring and Hibernate, allowing organizations to better prepare and plan for critical Web 2.0 applications. In March 2006, Exadel announced the launch of the Exadel Visual Component Platform, a powerful new JSF-based framework for the development of AJAX-enabled business applications.

EXADEL WEB SEMINAR: DEVELOPING RICH APPLICATIONS WITH JSF AND AJAX

A recent web seminar “Developing Rich Applications with JSF and AJAX” took place on June 27, 2006. The number of participants quickly reached the maximum capacity, so, unfortunately, many who wished to register didn't have an opportunity to do so. For these people and anyone else interested, a recording of this event is now available.

Their goal was to give the readers a feel for the latest developments in the commercial Java space. Among other JavaOne exhibitors, they interviewed Max Katz, Senior Systems Engineer at Exadel, and discussed why developers would choose JSF and what challenges face those who do.

Charles Babcock from InformationWeek talks to several companies to find out why businesses are starting to show more interest in the AJAX approach's ability to generate fast, useful, and sticky websites, but still adopting AJAX very gradually.

Among others, Charles Babcock talks to John Thompson, a Project Manager for Home Shopping Network (HSN), about his experience with Exadel Visual Component Platform. John Thompson used this framework to develop an Ajax application to check shipping bills for HSN's logistics managers.
