TECHNOLOGY PERSPECTIVES:
THE INJECTION OF CONTROL AND JSF
These days, everybody talks about Injection of Control. Sometimes it's called Inversion of Control or Dependency Injection. The idea is simple: separate dependency management from the main business code. In this article, Exadel's Vice President of Product Development, Igor Shabalov, illustrates the use of the Injection of Control design pattern in a JSF application along with a working example.

ECLIPSEWORLD 2005 (NEW YORK): COME AND SEE EXADEL'S CHIEF SOFTWARE ARCHITECT, DENIS ULYANOV!
JavaServer Faces (JSF) has rapidly become an essential technology for richly interactive Web applications. A major feature of JSF is how it facilitates and encourages the creation and use of highly customizable reusable components. As JSF becomes more widespread, the question of when and how to create these components has become a critical consideration for developers. At EclipseWorld 2005 (August 29-31), Denis Ulyanov, Exadel's Chief Software Architect, will be holding a session on August 31 from 4:00-5:30. In this session, you'll learn how to take full advantage of JSF, including the key criteria for deciding when to use components. Then, you will walk through a step-by-step tutorial for developing components and incorporating them into your applications.
