Eltegra Ships EXADEL v 2.5, Expanding XML Component-Based eBusiness Infrastructure for Multi-Channel Delivery

Concord, CA., - December 22, 2000 - Eltegra, Inc., the first company to merge XML and object-oriented programming to enable eBusiness evolution, today announced the availability of EXADELâ„¢ v 2.5 with multi-channel delivery capabilities. EXADEL v 2.5 expands on its predecessor version to help companies to achieve new business goals by rapidly adapting eBusiness services for wireless and with voice-enabled devices. Without the need to alter the programming of the underlying system, EXADEL enables companies in almost any industry which need to re-engineer how they interact with clients, employees and partners to improve their ability for mobile commerce.
EXADEL is a new approach to software development and integration. Creating self-service eBusiness applications to expand how companies interact with clients and partners often, and inadvertently locks those companies into rigid technologies that are hard to adapt. Unlike other software integration tools and application servers, which require the creation of new hard-coded business logic, EXADEL integrates business logic and data from underlying systems in a loosely-coupled way that makes it far easier to change how those systems behave without software coding.
Included in EXADEL v 2.5 are the X-Studio design and management applications, the EXADEL XML-Component Server, XML-Proxy Adapters and the new Dynamic Presentation Engine. These software components enable business events (the components of B2B business processes) to be designed, activated, managed and continuously improved in real time.
EXADEL enables companies to create a service model of their business - the set of interactions an eBusiness will have with its partners and customers within and across enterprises - represented entirely as XML components. This enables collaborative eBusiness interactions among many systems and companies, allowing each to operate in their native environment with their native processes. By bringing together XML and object-oriented programming into a unifying, loosely-coupled architecture, Eltegra's EXADEL product avoids the rigidity of legacy-era integration technologies and application software. By avoiding the rigidity that plague competing application servers and integration servers and manual development techniques, EXADEL frees companies from the massive expense of software change management.
According to Fima Katz, CEO of Eltegra, "We are helping companies to evolve, as their markets and customers require. All the software vendors and consultants are focused on delivering solutions to the market quickly. This is great, but what happens when requirements change? They always do and no one has focused on making the process by which systems are changed as easy as the process by which they are created in the first place. This is what we do."
The EXADEL XML Component Server and framework are non-disruptive and non-intrusive to existing IT environments, which results in getting to market and staying market ready at Internet speeds. Its XML Component based, loosely coupled architecture allows many deeply customized applications to run from a single service model to address even the most complex business processes.
EXADEL is available and in production in several industries, including financial services, technology services and others. EXADEL is available for evaluation from the Eltegra web site, www.eltegra.com.
