Eltegra Announces Trial Release of Business Services Engineering Platform
Concord, CA., - June 30, 2001 - Eltegra, Inc., the leading vendor of XML Component-based eBusiness infrastructure, released a free trial beta version Eltegra's business services engineering platform, EXADELT. EXADEL version 3.0 is a new type of eBusiness integration platform that generates Meta Applications and Web Services. Using XML Components and a Model Driven Architecture, EXADEL helps companies realize their goals by radically reducing the efforts needed to integrate, adapt, and evolve new and old corporate software applications. Version 3.0 of EXADEL will be available as part of a beta program in July 2001, with full commercial availability in the third quarter of this year.
"We understand the pressures facing our large corporate customers," said Randy Friedman, Eltegra's executive vice president. "Companies worldwide have no choice but to quickly adapt and evolve their business models to acquire more customers, stay ahead of competition, and lower operating expenses. The vast majority of their existing IT investments have enormous value, but they cannot be easily updated or changed to meet new requirements." EXADEL is based on a unique, loosely coupled XML and Java service engineering platform. EXADEL includes a developer's studio to speed data, process, and application integration, the composition of Meta Applications, and publication of Web Services. "For Global 2000 Companies," adds Mr. Friedman, "the challenge is to define effective processes across their value chain, and then publish these processes as Web Services. Web Services alone have no value if they do not improve sales, lower costs, improve productivity or enhance the customer's experience."
