VeriFone sells merchant-operated, consumer-facing, and self-service payment systems to the financial, retail, hospitality, petroleum, government, and healthcare industries. Throughout the world, merchants, processors, and acquirers in both developed and emerging economies use the company’s solutions.
In the ever-evolving world of technology, developing payment solutions is no exception. VeriFone needed custom Quality Assurance testing solutions that would test both the software and the hardware on a broad range of the POS devices they produce.
The technology used in the process needed to connect with banks and user devices. This would include Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G for communication with payment institutions and Bluetooth, BLE (ibeacon), Eddystone, and NFC (apple pay, Samsung loop pay) to connect with various smart phones and tablets.
With nearly two decades of QA testing experience, Exadel served as a dependable ally for developing and introducing unified testing process of VeriFone POS terminals. Our QA engineers created testing scenarios that covered all possible real use cases as well as intricate cases that ensured the quality and reliability of the products. As we ran the devices through quality assurance procedures our software developers also created C\C++ based test applications that verified all aspects of the hardware and software. These Exadel applications can be used by VeriFone’s customers down the line as the base for their future payment applications for VeriFone devices.
As a result of the cooperation between the two companies, there are now thousands of Exadel-tested VeriFone POS terminals around the world. Evidence of the success of the partnership can be found in the drastically reduced number of defect reports now received by VeriFone. With Exadel’s assistance, VeriFone merchants and customers can now focus on what they do best, knowing that their POS terminals are reliable and performing at near perfection.
